Born and raised in the Canal Zone of the Republic of Panama, I was exposed to the many cultural riches of my small country. After studying Fashion Design at Houston Community College and Texas Tech University, I mostly focused on custom design and dressmaking. Years later, after a fabric shopping spree during a visit back home, my focus moved to designing with my imported fabrics. I am inspired by the national folkloric dress as well as the indigenous tribes of Panama.
