Solo Mia: PTY, inspired by the little bit of paradise where I was born and raised, the Canal Zone in Panama. It features imported fabrics. Some are fabrics used in the everyday clothing of the Kuna Indians of San Blas. Some pieces may also include molas, the textile art created by the Kunas.
This type of fabric is used as a head scarf by Kuna Indians. It is a yellow print on a red background it is accented by a yellow piping on both sides of the scarf square and a turquoise hem. The fullness of the skirt is gathered onto the waistband. It zips up at the side.
